About Your Ghostwriter

Karen McCreadie - book ghostwriters for hire - Hire a ghostwriter for books -

Hi, I’m Karen McCreadie.

Like every career, my life as a writer has changed since I started in 2000. First, I just wanted to write professionally. Now I pay more attention to enjoying the process. Writing a book with someone requires connection, patience, trust, vulnerability and a sense of humour from you as the author and me as your collaborator. It’s meant to be fun, not some painful slog we both hate!

People often ask me, “Why don’t you write your own books?” The answer is, I have. I’ve written 10 of my own books but I prefer ghostwriting because I get to learn at least some of what’s in the author’s head over a relatively short period of time. Often, that creates an extremely steep learning curve but it’s one of the things I enjoy the most. I love the collaboration.

One of the unexpected side-effects of this work is that I have come to appreciate that there are insanely valuable nuggets of information, knowledge or first-hand experience that, if known could change the world. Currently, too much of it is stuck inside someone’s head or published in obscure industry journals littered with insider jargon or deliberately complicated for intellectual kudos! It frustrates me that some of the really useful knowledge remains relatively unknown and is almost never made purposefully accessible to everyone. I facilitate that knowledge transfer and help solve that problem.

Collaborative Ghostwriter for Books

I am the bridge between the person who knows and the person who doesn’t – yet. Through a process of simplifying up (as opposed to dumbing down) the subject specialist (you) collaborates with the writing specialist (me) to create a book that neither of us could have created alone. And, together we ensure that anyone can understand it and use it.  I particularly enjoy non-fiction that matters, challenges the status quo, simplifies the complex or presents a new approach or perspective that can help the reader in some way.

So far, I’ve written over 100 books. These include books I’ve ghostwritten, co-authored or written under my own name. My own books include several modern interpretations of old classics such as The Art of War, Think and Grow Rich and The Richest Man in Babylon. I’ve also written, How to Write a Book in 33 Days, for those who would like to write their own non-fiction book but don’t know where to start.

I am a UK based ghostwriter who regularly works with authors in the UK, Australia and the US.

If you have any questions about book ghostwriters for hire but don’t know what or who to ask, considering exploring my Q&A page. Alternatively, get in touch.

Writers are the architects of understanding, the provokers of thought, the recorders of history and the creators of magic!
